The Praxis exam includes numerous key terms, events, rulings, principles, etc. Most of this is "recall" of information on your part. Take a look at the Praxis II prep book sample questions and you will see what I mean. In this blog, lets make a LIST of items you will need to know. I will start and each person in the class needs to provide ONE item that we need to know for the exam. There is no need to write about the items in a long discussion. Simply list your name and the item we need to know.

ReplyDeleteI know exactly what we need to know because I took it last Saturday!!!!!!! And if truth is told, most of it wasn't on the test! Sorry! There was only three theorists that were on the test. On the curriculum, instruction and assessment there was only Bandura. On the PLT there was Piaget and Bloom, but on Piaget, you need to know not just the stages and who is in them, but the behaviors. The question I had asked about formal operational and the answer was abstract. If that gives you an idea. There was 4 constructed response questions that gave you what the teacher taught and then like on one question, you had to say what she did well at and one thing that you could have added to her lesson. I felt really good about it and I hope I passed!!!

DeleteIt is my understanding there are more than one test and it depends on which test you get as to the information that is covered on it. Has anyone else heard this? thanks for the insight though.

DeleteFor K-6 degree there are two test. The PLT k-6 and has 70 multiple choice questions and four constructed response questions. Then there is the Curriculum, Instruction and Assessment test which is 110 multiple choice questions. My test anyway!
